Notice: Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called incorrectly. Translation loading for the simple-lightbox domain was triggered too early. This is usually an indicator for some code in the plugin or theme running too early. Translations should be loaded at the init action or later. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. Creating Promo Codes

Creating a Promo Code

  • In the Dashboard menu, tap “Promo Codes.”
  • In the Promo Codes menu, tap the orange plus-sign to open the window to create a promo code.
  • Name your promo code.
  • It’s important to note the following:
  • Promo code names are NOT case sensitive.
  • The promo code name MUST be unique from all other promo codes across the Pit Pay Platform.
  • Try to avoid using spaces and special characters in your promo code name because all text, spaces and special characters entered by Participants must match the code name exactly for the promo code to work.
  • Next, enter the percentage discount you want to apply to Passes for Participants using this Promo Code.
  • Enter the number of times the promo code can be used.
  • If the promo code should expire on a certain date, select that date here.
  • Otherwise, tap the box to select “No expiration date for this code.”
  • The green bar at the top of your screen indicates that the promo code was created successfully.

Please note, the Participants will still pay the App transaction fees in full for anything below a 100 percent discount.

When a Participant uses a promo code, you’ll be able to see it in the Participant Details and on the Print and Export Lists.

In the Promoter Agreement, you receive a reasonable number of complimentary waiver executions per event. These are codes that will waive the transaction fee and the pass price, so the Participant’s mobile pit pass is completely free.

We encourage you to use these for event sponsors, VIPs, staff, etc.

At Pit Pay Inc., we will occasionally issue a promo code to a participant for a variety of reasons. Don’t worry, we will always reimburse you for the full pass price when we initiate your event payout.

Creating a Promo Code for a Completely FREE Pass

  • Tap the orange plus-sign to create another promo code.
  • If the discount percentage is set to 100, the transaction fee will automatically be removed.
  • Tap the orange arrow by the promo code name to see the code details.

You can confirm that the transaction fee was removed in this example of a single-use promo code by looking at the fee discount and seeing that it is 100 percent.

Viewing, Editing or Deleting Promo Codes

  • Tap the orange arrow by the promo code name to see the code details.
  • You can review the code details here. Use the pencil icon if you need to edit the promo code and the garbage can icon if you want to delete it.
